Hungry for some junk food
I have a problem. I am a junk food junkie. I had dinner around 6:30, and its almost my bedtime...and I want something sweet. Now, I can walk out to Wendys or even McDonalds for a frosty or shake. The worst thing? I have all natural coconut bars in the freezer, but they seem too 'good for you'. Oh, I want a cone...but its very chilly out and McDonalds is a 4 block walk.
Sure, I could drive, but that won't make me feel better.
Tomorrows a busy day with LisaLee enterprises...I have to deliver a few catalogs, drop off some new books at my favorite drop off locations (a pizza place, grocery store, and a chinese takeout place), get gas, do some agent prospecting, and make AB some dinner (we are having garlic shrimp pasta). I'd like to finish my doggie sweater...I've been working on it for some time, now.
You know, I'm kinda over Dancing with the Stars. I feel like they are trying to cram too many B-listers and attention wanting has-beens all year. Didn't this show just end like a month ago?? Can you tell I'm in a mood...ice cream...please....

I have a problem with bad drivers. I don't like them. In fact, I want to take pictures of them or video of them cutting people off, texting, eating, doing their hair, makeup---whatever...its so damn annoying that I think they should be humiliated on the web!
That might be pushing it. It might not be nice, but its how I feel.
Today, for instance, there was a lady stopped in the middle of the intersection. She needed to turn left, but cross-traffic didn't have a stop sign. She did, but she didn't stop in time. So, as I was trying to turn left, she thought I should stop for her...even though I didn't have to. She, of course, was too busy talking on her cell phone to pay attention to the rules of the road.
So, I get the dirty look, because I actually made her stop and pay attention...to me (you know, the one with the right-of-way).
I am not a perfect driver. I even talk on my cell while driving, though rarely. I will more often than not, pull over if someone calls and I feel I need to take it. I am more apt to put the call on speaker. I sometimes eat a balance bar or special k bar while driving, too. I don't eat a full piece of pizza or a sandwich in stop and go traffic...its messy.
Uggh...is it wrong to post their license plates online? Take pictures of them doing horrendous things, like texting while weaving in and out of traffic. Giving you the finger because you stopped at the red light and they were behind you...doing their hair!! (Yes, brushing and separating her hair and braiding it, while in motion)
Maybe I'm getting old. Maybe, I might just be that old fogey grandma who thinks everyone drives too fast. I don't care...pay attention to the road...other peoples lives are at stake, including your own!

Happy Happy Pancake Day!
Yes, its pancake day. I love pancakes. I have been craving pancakes since Friday and now I am finally giving in and taking the time to make them!
Trying not to get my keyboard sticky with maple syrup, I am watching Good Morning America and getting ready to go to work...all while enjoying these pancakes.
I have a hard time listening to a woman talk about a destructive relationship with a man--at their own will. If you are with someone (I'm watching GMA) and he tells you what you can and can't do or is always arguing with you...why are you with him? You can find someone better and more loving ...I PROMISE. The good times can't be good enough to put up with crap. Uggghh!!!

Who says real estate is slow?
I must admit, I did not have the busiest summer in real estate. But, with that amazing first time homebuyer tax credit out there (up to $8,000---its a great deal!), I am finding myself busy again. I should knock on wood, keep my fingers crossed, whatever...I love it!
Tomorrow, I am showing 5 homes to one of my new buyers, and yesterday, I had someone else contact me, ready to buy his first home. Its a relief, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I really hope things work out.
In other news, I had a nice dinner with AB last night, and I started working on my first dog sweater. It is a crocheted sweater, for a little doggie. I will be putting it up to purchase on Etsy, and the proceeds will go to a local animal shelter here. If I can do one sweater a week, I think I can really help out the local shelters, which are swamped with dogs and cats right now. I'm excited, and I hope my sweater turns out. My brother has a small dog that will be my model. I am trying to create my own pattern, but its hard without a dog of my own. Last night, I got a head start on the collar, but I think I am going to redo it. Crochet can go so fast, if you have a nice size needle and great yarn.
Okay, back to work...phones, ring, ring ring!!

Last night, I had a nightmare where everyone who bought something from me returned their free gifts.
I always include a free gift with my local customers orders. Usually, its a small hand cream, lip balm, shower gel, or even a mascara. Sometimes, I pack something really nice. I always include a bunch of samples, too. Though its hard to do that for my online customers, that's why I decided to have monthly giveaways with mystery gifts.
In my dream, I was at my monthly sales representative meeting, and my customers walked up and tried to return used gifts...one lady told me she didn't like the bubble bath, and she never bought it! Now, Avon has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but they are free gifts! My logic in the dream made me wonder how I was going to afford getting this lady a different free gift.
Not only did it make perfect sense, this dream felt so real that I woke up thinking I already knew what topic we would discuss at the monthly sales meeting!!

After a long weekend
I feel like the weekend shouldn't be over...I didn't have any time to relax! Saturday was an early day of laundry, followed by hitting a family reunion (complete with a two hour drive each way!) and then dinner with AB (Amazing Boyfriend). Sunday, I showed three homes to a prospective buyer and then went to a dairy farm with my sister. Later, I had dinner with AB and his momma! I was soo tired, I went to bed at 8:30! The dairy farm is so much fun. You can try any of the cheeses they make and sell. Plus, they have the best ice cream and some fun activities. Between the two of us, we spent about $20 and seriously ate too much ice cream. AB gave me some money for cheese, and I bought a couple of pints of ice cream for later this week.
Tonight, I will settle down and watch the new Gossip Girl!

Its been a week since I went to get my bloodwork done, yet the bruise still remains. Its almost gone, definitely not as bad as it was during the weekend. Next week, I will have some more tests...an ultrasound and an x-ray of my upper digestive system. Let's hope they find what is causing my stomach to be so indecisive lately.
This morning I was just looking at the bruise, noticing how it morphs and changes as it heals. Noticing the gal who took my blood treated me like I was a toy being produced in a factory, just a number...flip me over for quality control and send me on my way. She wasn't gentle or kind. Just grabbed my arm and did her job.
Its going to be a long day at work, and I still need to take my shower, deliver some more catalogs and hit the bank and Target. And, I don't feel like moving an inch. I stayed up late, watching tv, and eating cereal for dinner. oooohhh I have to get going!
I will post something more pleasant later in the day....

And now, for Autumn!
Its really odd, how, even though yesterday was beautiful and warm and only Labor Day...that right now, its cool and cloudy. I see fall is just around the corner! Soon, Halloween will be here--- one of my favorite holidays! I love reasons to go to a corn maze, pick apples, dress up, and eat tons of candy corn!
Sometimes I think Autumn is the prettiest time of year. I love watching the leaves change colors, AB to take me to Las Vegas the minute it seems *chilly* out, my sister to start worrying about Christmas gifts, my parents to run to the west coast in their camper (this time I will pack my mom with samples and my business cards....complete with my Avon website!), and I to get out my collection of sweaters.
Yes, its my favorite time of year. We gladly welcome back soup...especially thick hearty cream soups...chicken soup...beef vegetable....hot tomato!!!! Oh, how I love soup!!

This weekend, AB and I went camping. We didn't go far, but my family was there, which made it fun. We (AB and I) really lasted only one night! Our air mattress deflated as we slept, making us very cranky and stiff by morning. AB woke up in the middle of the night to go potty, and when he got up, I sank to the cold, hard ground, which woke me up and then we noticed the lack of support. My body was sooo sore, I actually felt hungover, even though I didn't drink anything!
It was a good time, the food was great, the fam was fun, but the sleep was awful. Around 6 pm, I noticed the bugs had come out to feast-- on us! I passed around my handy dandy can of Skin So Soft Bug Guard and I came home Sunday with only one mosquito bite--- the one that made me notice the bugs in the first place! Not bad!! It didn't smell bad--- no obnoxious odor at all.

A little about the stupid Avon Lady
Some may not care what a stupid avon lady has to say, write, or think. I'm not just an Avon Lady. I'm a 32 year old woman. I am independent. I vote. I am a sister, a cousin, a daughter, a friend, a girlfriend. I am a coworker, a consultant, a listener. I am a public speaker. I am a Realtor. I am a volunteer. I am an actor. I am a person. I am a nice person.
Being 32 isn't easy. I mean, I have to pay bills, taxes, work, and find time for myself. I love to cook, and I have the ribbons to prove that I'm not half bad! I went to a state university for mathematics, and later, to study improv at The Second City in Chicago. I learned a lot about myself, and I learned even more about others...relationships, feelings, & psychology. I volunteer at a local animal shelter, and I love it. I spend time with my sister, transporting puppies up for adoption at a retirement home for senior citizens. Seeing them hold and pet the puppies makes the long day worthwile. Being Lisa is tough at times. But, being able to write about it and make friends and voice my opinion gives me a little sanity. Is that so wrong?
This stupid Avon Lady is new to selling Avon: Its a hobby, and it affords me play money, which isn't too shabby in this economy. I don't cake makeup on or try to sell foundation to my neighbors. I wear very little makeup...when I want to...when I feel like it. I started selling Avon in December. I walked into an Avon store looking for stocking stuffers for christmas gifts. Before I knew it, I had a handful of books, It does not promote whore-ness of any kind(as some might think), nor does it make women take two steps back. In fact, I find the Avon company very empowering for women, giving many independence, extra income, helping promote breast cancer awareness and offering non profits many ways to raise funds. Avon has a fundraiser to send supplies to US troops, serving time overseas for our country. How great is that? This stupid Avon Lady realizes the potential in a company that makes silly little footcreams, lipsticks, and perfumes.
And, while I don't wear makeup daily, I do use basic products...like soap...everyday. I love the Naturals brand of Shower gel. I use Anew Rejuvenate 2 in 1 face cleanser each morning and night, and the Anew moisturizer. I use the Smooth Minerals makeup (when I wear foundation), the Mark Glossblossom lip gloss and I have tons of Avon lipbalms throughout my home, purse and car. I use the Moisture Therapy Intensive hand cream. I use Avon Naturals shampoos and conditioners. I love the Avon Skin So Soft roll on deodorant. So, the people of this world that could care less about what a stupid avon lady thinks...I'm not just an Avon lady. And, how dare you think so less about someone because of their work. Do you spit on the people that work at KFC, too?? Do you even care that they are trying to provide and feed for their 3 kids, or struggling to pay for school and rent at the same time? As long as you got to put someone down, make your point, and seem like the intelligent one, right? Well, good for you. Some people do care about others and true humanity.

I learned a lot about myself, and I learned even more about others...relationships, feelings, & psychology. I volunteer at a local animal shelter, and I love it. I spend time with my sister, transporting puppies up for adoption at a retirement home for senior citizens. Seeing them hold and pet the puppies makes the long day worthwile. Being Lisa is tough at times. But, being able to write about it and make friends and voice my opinion gives me a little sanity. Is that so wrong?
This stupid Avon Lady is new to selling Avon: Its a hobby, and it affords me play money, which isn't too shabby in this economy. I don't cake makeup on or try to sell foundation to my neighbors. I wear very little makeup...when I want to...when I feel like it. I started selling Avon in December. I walked into an Avon store looking for stocking stuffers for christmas gifts. Before I knew it, I had a handful of books, It does not promote whore-ness of any kind(as some might think), nor does it make women take two steps back. In fact, I find the Avon company very empowering for women, giving many independence, extra income, helping promote breast cancer awareness and offering non profits many ways to raise funds. Avon has a fundraiser to send supplies to US troops, serving time overseas for our country. How great is that? This stupid Avon Lady realizes the potential in a company that makes silly little footcreams, lipsticks, and perfumes.
And, while I don't wear makeup daily, I do use basic products...like soap...everyday. I love the Naturals brand of Shower gel. I use Anew Rejuvenate 2 in 1 face cleanser each morning and night, and the Anew moisturizer. I use the Smooth Minerals makeup (when I wear foundation), the Mark Glossblossom lip gloss and I have tons of Avon lipbalms throughout my home, purse and car. I use the Moisture Therapy Intensive hand cream. I use Avon Naturals shampoos and conditioners. I love the Avon Skin So Soft roll on deodorant. I have dresses, purses, and tons of necklaces from both Avon and Mark that I love and get tons of compliments on! I use Skin So Soft Bug Spray when I go out walking or camping.
So, the people of this world that could care less about what a stupid avon lady thinks...I'm not just an Avon lady. And, how dare you think so less about someone because of their work. Do you spit on the people that work at KFC, too?? Do you even care that they are trying to provide and feed for their 3 kids, or struggling to pay for school and rent at the same time? As long as you got to put someone down, make your point, and seem like the intelligent one, right? Well, good for you. Some people do care about others and true humanity.
